My sister Carol reminded me this morning (1/10/19) that I hadn't posted since Dec. 30...so kudos to her for reading my blog and reminding me that she misses it when I don't post. So here goes, catching you up on our activities.
I have to mention first and foremost, that we had SNOW in Arizona (Dec. 31) -- the Pendergasts have some kind of weather mojo as it hadn't snowed here in Congress for several years.... and we were cold, our lowest temp dipping to 26 degrees one night and other nights with 27-31 degrees. Water dripping nights and the furnace on to blow heat into the "basement" area of the RV.
We did manage it OK with no frozen pipes! It makes me think about traveling in a covered wagon, living in a sod house and/or log cabin with only outside facilities and heat from a wood burning fireplace.....guess I shouldn't complain.
The snow started slowly and this shows it on the truck bed cover.
Snow on the gazebo awning
Snow on the shed roof
Friends from Topeka, Danny & Linda M. arrived in their Motorhome on Sunday, Dec. 30 from California after visiting their son for Christmas. The weather definitely didn't cooperate for them but they were able to visit the Granite Mountain Hotshots memorial and hike the trails around the area. We celebrated New Year's Eve and Day together.
They departed Wed., Jan. 2 for Topeka -- traveling through some dicey weather home but arrived safely. We enjoyed their visit.

We welcomed the warm temperatures returning and truly appreciate the sunshine during the day.
So that should catch you up for the 2019 New Year beginnings --- we wish you all the best in 2019!
