Once again, we decided to take a trail and go all the way to the end (or connection to the next trail) -- we were on the hunt for Aspen walking sticks (still looking).
So we picked another trail/ FR 340 to go exploring to see what we might find!
Several streams popped up along the trail, we walked a couple of them to see where they led.
This one had lots of logs across and a good journey up the mountain.
Darrel is always looking for a place to find gold --
He keeps checking out those possibilities -- how do you like his new $3.00 straw cowboy hat?
He is mighty proud of that acquisition.
We twisted and curved and took bumps and dips -- and the trail ended at the top of a plateau amid the pine trees and rocky cliffs.
It was a beautiful day, saw lots of campers coming in for the 4th of July weekend -- we try to stay close to the RV over holiday weekends --- this was Thursday.
One more post for Friday, July 3rd -- again, traveling another Forest Road trail....
Blessings from the road,
Susan & Darrel
